Mahomed joined BDO Johannesburg in 2007, after having worked at KPMG Inc. for eight years in their Investment Management and Funds Business unit. He has vast experience in the audit of retirement funds, medical schemes and owner managed businesses. He is currently serving on the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Retirement Funds Project Group and Medical Aid Project Group. He was appointed a director at BDO in March 2008.

Mahomed also serves on various charitable and educational organisations on a voluntary basis. He enjoys walking and the outdoors.
