Expertise Summary

Nigel has been a partner at BDO for a combined period of 13 years – nine years prior to 1993 and four years from 2005. He has 12 years management experience in banking, stock broking, private equity, and structured short- and long-term insurance businesses. During this time, he was Managing Director of Brait Merchant Bank up to the time of its closure, and CFO of predecessors Capital Alliance Holdings and Sechold (Investec Group). He was also an executive director of Nova Group (subsequently renamed Centriq), prior to its acquisition by Santam. He is currently joint head of the audit practice and Chairman of the BDO National Technical Committee.
