Johannesburg, April 2016. BDO South Africa is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Audit Partners, four new Directors and three new Associate Directors.

Brian Neo Monegi - Audit partner, Johannesburg
Brian completed his articles at SizweNtsalubaGobodo and was then promoted to Audit Supervisor and Audit Manager. He has also been a Senior Inspector at the IRBA and has been involved in performing file inspections at most of the ‘Big 4’ audit firms as well other mid-tier firms. Brian will manage audit clients while assisting with BDO’s internal inspection programme and audit efficiency programme.
Davy Moodley – National Head of Learning & Development
Davy completed his articles at the Auditor General where he was promoted to Audit Supervisor and Audit Manager. He then moved on to become the technical accounting manager at EY. After spending some time with Deloitte in Toronto, Canada, where he focused on the financial institutions sector, he moved back to South Africa and became a Senior Inspector at the IRBA. He also spent some time at Mazars as Director of Audit Quality. Davy is expected to enhance the quality of our audit training, align it to our audit methodology and head up our audit efficiency programme.
Roma Bisnath – National Head of Human Resources (HR)
Roma joined BDO in the role of National Head of HR in 2016. Her goal together with her HR team, is to partner with business to provide innovative HR solutions that are aligned to our business objectives, while supporting our culture of high performance and engagement.
Roma is skilled in different methodologies such as, strengths based coaching, psychodynamic facilitation, The Thinking Environment principles and resilience building. She has an Honours Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pretoria, a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pretoria and her Master’s Degree in Leadership from the University of Johannesburg.
Roxanna Nyiri - Director: International Tax and Transfer Pricing, Johannesburg Roxanna is one of the foremost transfer pricing specialists in South Africa and boasts extensive experience at SARS, the private sector, and internationally. She has her Mcom in International Accounting, as well as a B.Commerce in Business Economics and a Transfer Pricing Higher Diploma in Tax Law.
She was instrumental in establishing a transfer pricing unit at SARS and has received formal training from the IRS in the USA, IR in the UK and the ATO in Australia.
Graham Croock - Director, Risk Advisory Services, Johannesburg
Graham joined BDO in May 2014. He ran his own risk management business, specialising in IT Audit Risk and Governance, for four years prior to joining BDO.
Graham's educational history is an interesting one: he qualified as an electrical engineer after leaving school and worked at Denel before realising that "financial people controlled the major projects" so he returned to university to study finance, completing BAcc, articles, a Higher Diploma in Computer Audit and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
At BDO, Graham focuses on ICT Governance, IT Audit support and the development of a new cyber and forensics laboratory.
Mohamed Mia - Associate Director: Risk Advisory Services, Johannesburg
Mohamed joined BDO in 2014. Prior to joining BDO he was appointed as Group Internal Auditor at the DCD Group which consisted of 12 subsidiary companies operating within the rail, mining, energy, industrial, defense, marine and heavy engineering sectors. He started his career at EY and was a member of the Transnet STEP (Strategic Tactical Enhancement Projects) Team. On the Transnet account he was involved in costing, performance improvement, best practise benchmarking and internal audit projects. He then joined Grant Thornton and was responsible for internal audit and risk management projects across a wide portfolio of clients.
Mohamed is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant associated with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) based in the UK.
Bradley White - Audit Partner, Pretoria
Bradley joined BDO in July 2011 as an Audit Manager, after studying at the University of Pretoria and qualifying with Deloitte. He was seconded for four months to Deloitte's Dallas, Texas office in the USA. He has experience in Property, Manufacturing, Consolidations, JSE-listed companies and the Public Sector.
Joanie Wiggett - Associate Director, Cape Town
Joanie has been with BDO for over 10 years, having joined the BDO Woodstock office in January 2006. Joanie studied B Rek at the University of Stellenbosch and completed her B Rek Hons at the University of Free State. She finished her SAICA articles, passed the SAIPA exam and was then offered a Manager position within our accounting division.
Joanie has been the manager of the Cape Town Business Services & Advisory Division for the past five years.
Mary-Anne Greisdorfer - Associate Director, Cape Town
Mary-Anne joined the BDO Woodstock office in April 2005. Mary-Anne studied BCom Financial Accounting at UCT and completed her BCom Honours Accounting with the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She then went onto finish her SAICA articles and qualified as a CA(SA) and was then offered a Junior Manager position.
Mary-Anne has been a manager in the audit department for the past five years and has experience in property, travel, financial services, distilleries and beauty product entities.
