Alethia Chetty

Experience

Alethia is a Partner in BDO Financial Services, specialising in banking and asset management.

Prior to joining BDO, she was a Director at SNG Grant Thornton in the Financial Services Division. She served her articles and worked for five years as a Senior Manager in the financial services division of Deloitte. She was seconded to Deloitte’s New York office, where she formed part of the audit team for Morgan Stanley Mutual Funds and Goldman Sachs.

She has serviced clients in the banking, private equity, asset management and insurance sectors as well as performed the role of an engagement quality reviewer.

During the last couple of years, Alethia has been the engagement partner for a range of Financial Services clients.

Some of her project work includes IFRS implementation at a large african bank and the development and implementation of audit software with an emphasis on the regulatory requirements of South African financial institutions. Alethia has vast experience in external audit and accounting, consulting and project management in the banking sector.
