Experience

Billy started his career as an articled clerk in 1974 at Shotland Sevenus Alperstein and Giles, one of the firms which later became known as PKF (Cape Town) Inc. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1980 and in 2008 became the managing director of PKF Cape Town.

PKF Cape Town merged with Grant Thornton Cape Town in 2013. Grant Thornton merged with BDO South Africa in March 2018 and Billy is a partner in the merged firm.

Billy is passionate about technical standards and was a founding member of the Fisher Hoffman PKF National Technical & Training Committee in 1988 and a member of the PKF International Professional Standards committee for 5 years from 2000 to 2004.

Billy enjoys working in a team environment and is passionate about serving his clients and helping them grow their businesses and plan for the future.
