Ian Scott

Experience

Ian completed his articles at Welby Steward, a founding firm of BDO Spencer Steward whilst completing night studies at the University of Cape Town. After a secondment with BDO in London and overseas travel, he returned to Cape Town and became a partner in 1990. He became the managing partner in 1999.

Ian enjoys adding value and assisting clients to improve their businesses and processes. He has served as a director and trustee on a number of boards and is known for his hands-on practical advice, and problem-solving abilities.

Ian' role as Managing Partner requires him to serve on the Executive Committee of the Firm. He also takes an active interest in marketing and business development.
