James started his career in the accounting profession when he joined Welby Steward as an articled clerk in 1977. He progressed through the ranks to become a partner in 1983 and later to serve as managing partner between 1996 and 2002. During this time the firm changed its name to BDO.
As well as being a Chartered Accountant, James holds honours degrees in Accounting and Data Processing.
He has extensive experience in advising a number of successful entrepreneurial clients on business and other issues.
James advises on Estate Planning as well as acting as Trustee in a number of Trusts.
