Leanne Laxson

Experience

Leanne is a director in both the assurance and corporate finance divisions in Durban.

Leanne is responsible for the management of a number of the Durban office’s major clients covering a wide range of industries and includes listed entities, state owned companies, financial services and the manufacturing sector. From a corporate finance perspective, she has also been involved in the conduct and management of special assignments such as due diligence investigations, valuations and systems reviews.

Leanne completed her traineeship with the Grant Thornton in March 2008 and was thereafter appointed assistant audit manager. In December 2009, she was appointed audit and corporate finance manager and in December 2011 she was promoted to senior audit and corporate finance manager. On 1 September 2018, Leanne was appointed as a Director of SNG Grant Thornton.

Leanne completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree through UNISA in 2003. She obtained her Bachelor of Honours in Accounting (CTA) in 2004. Subsequently Leanne has passed the Qualifying examination in 2005 and the Public Practice Examination in 2006.
