Jared Mitri
Jared is a Financial Services Audit Partner with extensive experience across asset management, wealth management, insurance and fiduciary services, with particular depth in complex investment structures including collective investment schemes, hedge funds, private equity, pension funds and linked insurance businesses.
He has led and overseen audits of large, complex and regulated financial-services groups, working closely with boards, audit committees and executive management on financial reporting, governance, regulatory, risk and control matters. His experience includes multi-entity and cross-border group audits, valuation of financial instruments and investments, revenue recognition, service-organisation environments, technology-enabled processes and combined assurance.
As Head of Audit and Head of Asset Management within BDO Financial Services, Jared provides leadership across audit quality, sector strategy and client delivery. He brings together deep sector knowledge, strong technical judgement and a practical understanding of how financial-services businesses operate, with a focus on delivering a coordinated, high-quality audit across entities, jurisdictions and specialist workstreams.

Group / Multinational audit experience
Jared has extensive experience leading multi-jurisdictional asset and investment management audits, including the audits of Allan Gray and Foord, where the group structures extend across multiple legal entities, funds and regulatory jurisdictions.
On Allan Gray, Jared provides overall engagement leadership across the South African group and the broader cross-border structure, including Namibia, Botswana and Bermuda, coordinating component teams, centralised audit work, specialist involvement and group reporting requirements. His experience includes managing the implications of centralised finance and operational processes, service organisations, cross-border regulatory requirements and consistent application of group audit methodology.
His experience on Foord similarly involves coordination across a multi-jurisdictional investment-management structure, requiring alignment of audit approach, timing, component work and reporting across the group. This gives Jared strong practical experience in delivering ISA 600 group audits across complex, regulated investment-management environments, with a focus on central oversight, consistent audit quality and early resolution of cross-border matters.
