Kevin Hoff

Kevin is the Head of Banking for BDO Financial Services and lead’s BDO’s Financial Risk Management (‘FRM’) advisory division, which is the centre of excellence for market, credit, liquidity and operational risk management consulting and assurance to financial institutions and corporate treasuries across the BDO Africa network.

He has over 20 years of banking and investments experience, advising and providing assurance (external and internal) to lending and investment management institutions across Southern and Eastern Africa. 

As external audit partner, Kevin has signed off on clients including ABSA / Barclays Africa (Group Treasury and Global Markets divisions), Nedbank CIB (Markets and Treasury), Citigroup Global Markets, Deutsche Bank Johannesburg Branch, Finbond Group Limited (including Finbond Mutual Bank), Old Mutual Specialised Finance, Global Credit Ratings Company, Cash Connect Solutions and Merchant Capital Group.

As a valuations audit specialist, he has signed off on the Fair Valuations of: OMLAC(SA) Investments, Future growth Asset Management’s Investment Committee governance process and annual valuation adjustments, Allan Gray’s level 1 & 2 fund / scheme portfolio pricing and 27Four’s funds under management (listed and unlisted pricing process and valuations). He also signs off the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) verification audits for the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Allan Gray and Taquanta Asset Managers.
