"I am personally committed to leading the review of Sanlam's unlisted investment portfolio and ensuring that BDO assembles a team with the appropriate experience and sector knowledge to deliver a high-quality review.

Due to previous engagement with Sanlam, I already have a strong understanding of Sanlam's internal SNLACB valuation process. I will leverage this experience to provide hands-on leadership throughout the engagement, ensuring a focused, efficient and robust review of the portfolio valuations."

Michael is a Director in BDO Corporate Finance with more than 10 years of experience providing valuation, transaction advisory and audit support services to financial services organisations, including insurers, asset managers, investment holding companies, lenders and other regulated financial institutions.

He regularly provides specialist valuation support to external audit teams in respect of IFRS 13 fair value measurements, IFRS 3 business combinations, IAS 36 impairment assessments and the valuation of unlisted investments.
