Christo Geyer

Christo’s career of 30 years in the South African financial services industry spans various sectors including life insurance, employee benefits, reinsurance, listed investments and alternative investments. He has worked for leading organisations including Altvest, Old Mutual Alternative Investments, Prudential Investment Managers, Investec Asset Management, General Reinsurance, Alexander Forbes and Liberty Life. His roles have included Head of Strategy, Client Director, Head of Business Development, CEO, Chief Marketing Actuary, Head of Corporate Services, Managing Director and Consulting Actuary. 

Christo has an interest in investments with experience in technical matters as well as fair value aspects.  He has contributed to the development of business strategies, budgets, sales plans and operational responses to changing regulatory requirements. He has led teams responsible for expanding business across Southern Africa as well as talent development and mentoring initiatives.

He has served on ASISA Committees, ASSA structures and various strategic and operational forums. He has a deep focus on client relationships, technical delivery and distribution strategy.
