Experience

Bernard is Head of Audit in Cape Town and leads the TMT sector for BDO South Africa. He is also a member of the managing committee in Cape Town. He has extensive experience in the media and technology sector, from start-ups to listed entities.

Bernard provides support to his clients on various services, from consulting on financial accounting to performing due diligence work and listing of companies in the media and technology sector. He also has extensive experience in co-ordinating large and complex assignments. His sector experience includes E-Commerce, Digital media, Publishing, Traditional Media, Software, IP and rights.

He is involved in stock exchange work including auditing, listings, restructurings, refinancing, and pro forma financial information. With a wealth of experience in the corporate finance sector, a keen focus for Bernard is transactional support, due diligence and valuations. He is registered as a reporting accountant specialist with the JSE.

It is important for Bernard to deliver exceptional client service, and to identify and resolve key issues for his clients.
