Experience

Boitumelo Lekoko is a Certified Fraud Examiner and brings over 16 years of experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, election governance, and ethics advisory services. She holds a BCom in Accounting, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences, and an Advanced Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigations. Boitumelo has led complex forensic engagements across public and private sectors, including expert witness testimony and collaboration with law enforcement agencies. Prior to joining BDO, she was the Founder and Managing Director of Lekoko Advisory Services and previously served as a Director/Partner at PwC. She also led the Material Irregularities unit at the Auditor-General of South Africa, driving implementation of the amended Public Audit Act. Boitumelo is a respected speaker and facilitator, and has served on a Board Nominations Committee advising on election governance.
