Experience

Farhana has over 12 years’ experience and has advised Listed and Non-Listed clients in the Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Internal Controls space. She specialises in advising and assisting dynamic organisations with strategic implementation of governance, risk management, internal control, and combined assurance models.

Farhana is a well-rounded professional consultant who can work across multiple sectors including Real Estate and Construction (REC), Hospitality, Consumer Products, Health Care and Financial Services.

She currently serves as a member of the BDO South Africa Real Estate & Construction Board and is the Head of Real Estate & Construction Advisory service line team.

She has a passion for the Internal Auditing profession and previously served as a Board Member of the University of Pretoria Internal Audit Advisory Board and has articles published on topics in the Real Estate Sector.
