Experience

Justin has over ten years’ experience within the financial services sector in both assurance and advisory roles. He has been involved in projects in Australia (seconded for a period of six months), Malawi, Mauritius, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom and Zambia.

His key areas of specialisation include application controls, business process optimisation, data analytics, data migrations, digital ledger and blockchain, robotic process automation and IT entity level control reviews.

Within the financial services sector his focus areas have been banking and insurance. He has led retail, corporate and investment banking IT audits across the major banks in South Africa. Justin is passionate about incorporating emerging technologies into audits, as can be demonstrated using robotics and data analytics into audit processes, which has enabled auditors to obtain assurance over 100% of the population.

During his involvement across the major banks in South Africa, robotics and data analytics were used on incoming and outcoming settlements, reconciliation processes and KYC processes. Justin was recently seconded on an assignment through the European Central Bank. This assignment involved performing a review at a European bank.
