Leon has over 20 years of external audit experience across large and mid-sized audit firms, spanning multiple industries. For the majority of his career he has served in risk and quality roles, with a particular expertise in assurance technical support.

Leon is passionate about enabling auditors to perform high-quality audits that add value to stakeholders across the financial reporting value chain. His career has included detailed involvement in the standard-setting activities of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors of South Africa and other regulatory bodies, as well as in the development of guidance for auditors through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
