Executive summary

Brand positioning has become a significant competitive necessity in the profession, in particular in the arenas of winning work and attracting the best talent. The BDO strategy approved by partners includes elevating the firm, our people, our sector, our clients and society. In order to achieve this, we believe it is necessary to appoint an experienced senior person with the ability to contribute to repositioning the brand through a variety of integrated strategies.

Lynn Stevens is an experienced marketing and brand professional with over 25 years’ experience in brand and reputation management, working for a number of large corporates, the public sector and as a specialist marketer leading her own business. In the short time that she has been in an acting Chief Brand Officer role, she has led the work on the BDO brand strategy, displayed a good ability to organise and manage the marketing & communications team and obtained a deep understanding of the firm’s strategic direction. She has also demonstrated her strong network and relationships in the external market by attracting critical role-players to participate in BDO strategic platforms. We are delighted that she has agreed to join us in this important permanent role.
