Nadine is a South African Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience of which 15 years was spent living and working in West Africa. She has a passion for working with people and in business, and she believes in enhancing performance through individual development.
After finishing articles at PwC, she headed up the risk management function of a major telecommunications company in Nigeria where she won awards for team excellence and culture.
After five years she relocated to Accra, Ghana to start her own consulting and training company. In her nine years in Ghana, she trained over 8 000 people across various sectors in the areas of risk management, forensic and internal audit, leadership and management with a strong focus on experiential learning.
Before returning home to South Africa in 2017, she was project advisory to the team responsible for restructuring and revamping an oil refinery in Ghana, making the refinery profitable for the first time in nine years.
Back in South Africa she has been appointed as National Risk Officer for BDO in South Africa. She is involved in the development of female entrepreneurs through her course “Ideas to Impact”. Her children keep her fairly busy and they love running, hiking and surfing together. In her alone time, she loves to read anything from Brene Brown and Simon Sinek to Stephen King, Deon Meyer and Martin Steyn. She believes in life-long learning and loves doing short courses and learning new crafts.
