Nazmeera Ismail

Experience

Nazmeera is an Associate Director and Team Leader for National Audit Learning and Development at BDO South Africa. A Chartered Accountant with more than ten years’ experience, her career spans external audit, audit quality, learning and development, curriculum design, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.

Since joining BDO in 2018, Nazmeera has played a key role in building and leading the firm’s national audit training function. She develops learning strategies, technical training programmes and capability-building initiatives that support audit quality and the professional development of BDO’s audit teams.

Her experience includes blended learning design, facilitation, coaching, compliance monitoring, learning governance and project implementation. Nazmeera works closely with partners, managers, technical specialists and regional stakeholders to translate business needs into practical learning solutions. She is passionate about developing people, fostering leadership and creating learning experiences that enable individuals and teams to perform at their best.
