Experience

Nelmarié is an Associate Director in the Gqeberha office with 15 years at the firm. She has extensive experience leading audit engagements across various industries, including listed entities, and is highly skilled in risk assessment and internal controls. 

In 2022, she joined BDO South Africa’s International Offshore Center, contributing to the setup of the Belgium division. Her strengths in team leadership, client relationship management, and delivering high-quality assurance under pressure have made her a key contributor to cross-border initiatives.  

Nelmarié is known for her strategic thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to mentoring junior staff, consistently building high-performing teams. She fosters strong stakeholder relationships and adds value through insightful recommendations and robust audit execution.
