Nitha Mofokeng 

Nitha is a Director at BDO in the Monitoring and Remediation Department, with extensive audit, accounting, tax, payroll experience focusing on privately owned businesses, Trusts, Education Institutions and Non-Profit Companies.  

Nitha received her B. Com Accounting Honours from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2005 and joined one of the big 4 audit firms. She completed her articles in the financial service division in 2008. She gained her experience practising in the small and medium audit firms from 2009, servicing a diverse client portfolio, including being the provincial managing director and SAICA Training officer. 

In August 2022, Nitha joined BDO Monitoring and Remediation Department as a reviewer. 
 

Experience

Nitha has over 16 years’ experience in audit, accounting, tax, payroll and office management. She has a strong business acumen. In the 16 years, she has worked with various companies be it in auditing, preparing monthly management accounts, drafting of financial statements, assisting them to develop financial management systems, drafting and implementing financial policies, developing asset management systems, sitting in advisory boards, and contributing to strategy etc. As a SAICA training officer, she fully understands the SAICA training regulations and processes and has mentored over 30 trainees.
