Experience

Riaaz is a Director in BDO South Africa’s People & Culture team and an Attorney (Non-Practising). He specialises in employment equity, transformation, people governance and HR risk management, supporting the firm in advancing its transformation objectives while ensuring compliance with South African labour and employment legislation.

Riaaz has extensive experience in employment equity, B-BBEE and transformation strategy, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, employee relations and governance. He works closely with leaders across the business, advising on complex people matters, policy development and regulatory compliance.

His experience enables him to bring together legal, governance and people perspectives, helping the business balance its commercial objectives with legislative requirements and good governance while supporting an inclusive and equitable workplace.
