Experience

Sergio joins BDO after three years at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) where he was a Senior Inspector. He has previously worked at EY as an Audit Supervisor followed by Wailey-Smith Dante Sinclair and then Kwalata, Chartered Accountants, where he was an Audit Partner at both. At IRBA his role included inspections of Firms to ensure compliance with all aspects of International Standard on Quality Control (ISQC) 1 for both the Big Four Audit Firms as well as the Small to Medium Size Audit Firms; inspections of Registered Auditors to ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) as well as the accounting standards (International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards).
