Gilchrist Mushwana is a Director of BDO Advisory Services. He has 15 years experience in information technology, management consulting, risk advisory, white-collar investigation, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity and forensic technology services, forensic data analytics, CAATS auditing, compliance management, criminal investigation, litigation support, organisational policy development and implementation, training, conflict of interest management, investment and pension investigation, lifestyle audit and assessment, anti-money laundering and project management.

Prior to joining BDO, Gilchrist founded Prodogy SA, Hidden Links (Pty) Ltd and Salviol (Pty) Ltd with a
client list of more than 30 companies across law enforcement, energy, mining, telecoms, financial services, insurance, regulatory and education. Prodogy is a provider of forensic investigation services, and Salviol and Hidden Links provide data analytics technology solutions and services.

Gilchrist has also served as operations manager, project manager,consultant, senior business analyst and business analyst for several consulting and IT firms.

He is an external examiner for Postgraduate and Masters courses with one of the universities in South Africa, has published work with journals and presented papers at fraud conferences.
