Junaid Dhansay

Experience

Junaid has been involved in external audit for numerous years and has extensive experience in the private sector.

Junaid has been involved in the listing and audit of numerous entities on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) as well as the Alternative Exchange (AltX).

In addition to his involvement in external audit, Junaid has obtained experience in corporate finance, forming an integral part of teams performing valuations and reporting accountants work for entities intending to list on an exchange.

During 2014, Junaid pursued a secondment opportunity to the UK joining EY where he specialised in the audit of real estate, hospitality and construction entities.

Upon his return to South Africa in 2016, Junaid joined Grant Thornton Cape Inc. in the role of senior audit manager. Junaid was appointed as an Associate Director in September 2017. Grant Thornton Cape merged with BDO South Africa in March 2018 and Junaid was appointed as partner in the merged firm in September 2018.
