Experience

Kevin leads the Financial Services division and Specialised Valuations Group across Gauteng for BDO South Africa.

Hoff has a 14-year demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry in South Africa and across the African continent. Skilled in the audit and consulting fields of Banking, Investment Management, Corporate Treasury, Stockbroking, Financial Risk Management, Financial Engineering and related Financial Instrument Accounting and Fair Valuations. Audit experience extends to both External and Internal audit leadership roles.

Consulting experience in the non-financial service sector includes: designing hedging and market risk strategies for commodity, foreign exchange and interest rate risks, along with associated derivative fair valuations; and ALCO and Market Risk best practice reviews and benchmarking. Sector experience here comprises hard and soft commodities, mining & resources and energy (including renewable energy). Kevin was a guest speaker on hedging strategies and the use of derivatives in the energy sector at the 2017 Africa Utility Week.
