Conflicts of Interest
BDO Wealth Advisers places a high priority on our Client’s best interests. We subscribe and adhere to the regulatory principles of ‘treating customers fairly’. We maintain a Conflicts of Interest Management Policy, a copy of which can be obtained from our website (www.bdowealth.co.za), or requested from our Practice Manager. The basis of our policy is to identify, disclose and manage any possible conflicts of interest that may arise within or between any of BDO Wealth Advisers subsidiaries or associated companies.
BDO Wealth Advisers receives fees, commission included, from product providers. All fees, and/or commissions payable will be disclosed to you before entering into a transaction.
BDO Wealth Advisers does not hold shares or have any substantial financial interest in any of the product providers that we have terms of business with.
Further, no product provider holds shares in BDO Wealth Advisers.
BDO Wealth Advisers is however associated with the following group of companies with whom we have referral or distribution agreements: BDO Employee Benefits (Pty) Ltd (FSP number 15751) and Celerity Investments (Pty) Ltd (FSP number 47650).
BDO Wealth Advisers therefore has an indirect financial interest in any product recommended or service rendered on behalf of the abovementioned associated companies.
BDO Wealth Advisers will only recommend products or services by associated companies to clients in instances where such products or services are in the best interests of the Client.
